Saadi Saihood is the founder of the American University of Iraq in Baghdad, Iraq’s largest private university. He is alsothe founder of the Raban Al-Safina Group, one of the country’s largest private industrial and engineering conglomerates.
Born in Baghdad in 1954, Mr. Saihood is an alumnus of the Institute of Administration in Baghdad, having graduated with a higher diploma in 1977. Embarking on his extraordinarily successful career inbusiness, he initially worked in a modest administrative role. Over the years he steadily rose through the ranks, developing his business acumen, gaining a wealth of experience, and building an extensive network of professional contacts. He has since amassed a significant corporate empire with interests in a range of different market sectors.
